Bono is a musician and activist who has a staggering net worth of $700 million and is best known as the lead singer of the band U2. Aside from music and activism, Bono is also a businessman. In 1992, he purchased and refurbished the Clarence Hotel in his native Dublin, converting it from a 70-room building to a five-star, 49-bedroom hotel.
As a businessman, Bono also owns vast real estate investments and serves as a board member of a private equity firm Elevation Partners. Through his private equity fund, he invested roughly $210 million in Facebook. The U2 frontman personally made between $40 to $50 million on Facebook, which is indeed a very amazing return!
