James Franco | Painter, Teacher, Writer

James Franco has an incredible degree of Love for the arts. Aside from acting, filmmaking, and writing, he is also into painting. The 43-year-old star volunteers for Elysium charity’s Art and teaches film classes at New York University. He also has courses at the University of Southern California, UCLA, Studio 4, Palo Alto High School, and Playhouse West. Franco considers painting as an outlet he needed when in high school.

He has been painting long before he started acting, and his works had already been displayed at the Glü Gallery in Los Angeles in 2006. He also held a European art exhibition in 2011. In addition to Franco’s considerable art skills, Scribner published a collection of short stories by the actor himself. Titled Palo Alto, it tells some of his teenage memories and other Palo Alto Senior High School students.
