Dubbed as the Queen of Neo-Soul, Erykah Badu has knocked us off our feet with her extraordinary voice that can be comparable to Billie Holiday. In addition, she’s known for her eccentric style, with her vast and colorful headpieces that eventually became her trademark. Outside of the music scene, Badu is also into acting. She has a couple of movie credits and appearances on music videos and the sitcom Girlfriends.

The 50-year-old star is also a model in her own right, becoming the face of Tom Ford’s White Patchouli fragrance, Givenchy, and even walked for Kerby Jean-Raymond at New York Fashion Week in 2016. Elsewhere, Badu is also an activist in her hometown of South Dallas. She chose to establish her charity organization, Beautiful Love Incorporated Non-Profit Development (B.L.I.N.D. 501c3). It aims to help the city’s youth develop their skills through music, dance, theater, and visual arts.
