The actor, Matt Bomer, has opened up about his personal life to the public since he made his acceptance speech in 2012, including about his family life with Simon Halls, his husband since 2011. Matt earned popularity through his TV series White Collar and later on the film Magic Mike. As he gained credits for his high-profile acting career, he felt obligated to let the world know about his family.

Matt and Halls have been married since 2011. They have three sons through surrogacy; Kit, born in 2005, and the twins, Walker and Henry, born in 2009. Matt says that being a father is hard and rewarding. Matt makes sure to have time for his family even if it entails saying no to projects, especially now that they are growing up. Since Matt created a strong bond with his children, he was moved when his eldest son, Kit, came out to him straight at 14.
