Jason Bateman and Ernest Borgnine | $3 Million, Beverly Hills
Identity Thief star Jason Bateman and his wife, Amanda Anka, forked out $3 million on a new home for their family. Actor Ernest Borgnine previously owned the Beverly Hills compound for 60 years. Borgnine’s house was listed for a cool $3.395 million in September 2012.
Built in 1938, the estate was designed by architect L.G. Scherer, a peer of the well-known Los Angeles architect Paul Williams. The living area spans 6,148-square-feet and sits on a half-acre lot with an additional one-bedroom guesthouse with a kitchen and full living room. The main house’s interior remains unaltered from Borgnine’s almost lifetime in the home. Details include an office, a study, a paneled library, a formal entry hall with a staircase, a large master suite with dressing rooms, a den, a formal dining room, and six bedrooms. Indeed, the beautiful property is worth Bateman’s investment money.
